Dutch Harbour Podcast

"A shared space for the kind of writing that asks something honest of its reader."

Dutch Harbour
Our identity

Not a company.
A creative identity.

Dutch Harbour is the publishing home for books written and co-created by Kieron Welch and his twin brother. It is not a consultancy. It is not a business. It is a name for the kind of writing that does not exist anywhere else — honest, warm, and willing to ask the reader to sit with something uncomfortable.

The name comes from the idea of a harbour that is both shelter and departure point. Safety enough to think clearly. Open enough to go somewhere real.

K

Kieron Welch

Author · AI Change Professional

Kieron has spent his career sitting with people in the middle of change. As a qualified Naturopath he worked with people navigating serious illness including cancer, learning early that real change begins long before the practical. That understanding runs through everything he writes. He has worked extensively in change management at EE and BT, and led AI transformation at British Airways — giving him a rare dual perspective on what it means to keep pace with a world that will not slow down. He is the creator of the Synaptic Composting framework, the author of Empty Your Cup and the forthcoming How to Master the 7 States of Self-Reflection. He divides his time between the UK and Germany.

N

Nathan Welch

Author · Crisis Leader in EPRR

Nathan is an ex Royal Marine Commando, child and family therapist, and crisis leadership and EPRR specialist. He co-authored How to Be a Slightly Less Shit Human Being with Kieron, and is also the co-author of Secrets of the River: Riding the Creative Wave in Pediatric Hypnosis and Family Therapy — a clinical guide to working with children that reflects the breadth of a career shaped by both the battlefield and the therapy room. He brings a different lens to everything Dutch Harbour publishes. The kind only available to someone who has operated at both extremes of human experience.
