Where the safety of harbour meets the sea of adventure.
Dutch Harbour is an independent publishing imprint. We write for the people willing to look honestly at who they are, what they carry, and what becomes possible when they let it go.
Three books. Different subjects. The same question underneath them all: what would you do if you were willing to be honest about who you actually are?
A no-nonsense guide to personal improvement. Not perfection — just consistently better choices that compound into a remarkably better you.
Why unlearning what you know is the most powerful thing you can do in the AI age. Built around the original Synaptic Composting framework.
A journey through seven states — self-awareness, doubt, worth, destruct, compassion, perception, and confidence — toward the most important destination of all. Self-love.
"A shared space for the kind of writing that asks something honest of its reader."
Dutch HarbourDutch Harbour is the publishing home for books written and co-created by Kieron Welch and his twin brother. It is not a consultancy. It is not a business. It is a name for the kind of writing that does not exist anywhere else — honest, warm, and willing to ask the reader to sit with something uncomfortable.
The name comes from the idea of a harbour that is both shelter and departure point. Safety enough to think clearly. Open enough to go somewhere real.
The Dutch Harbour Substack is where the ideas in the books continue. New pieces on unlearning, identity, professional change, and what it means to stay genuinely alive to the world you are standing in.
